Founded in 1980, we are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, practice throughout California and Oregon and are Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated.  The firm has been panel counsel for the California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA) for more than twenty years.  Also, we have represented a variety of public entities both individually and through joint powers agencies.

The firm has successfully represented clients in landmark cases, among them the market share trial in the DES drug litigation in San Francisco Superior Court, the Lockheed Cases trial in Los Angeles Superior Court and Central Valley groundwater litigation in
U. S. District Court.

In 1984 we tried the first multi-plaintiff asbestos plant worker case in California.  Since then, we have successfully represented a wide range of defendants in asbestos litigation, including suppliers of raw fiber, contractors and premises owners, and manufacturers of brake linings, refractories, electrical equipment, laundry machinery, construction materials and floor tiles.
